XV Spain - USA annual Forum to be held in Washington DC, July 23-25 2010
The Fundacion Consejo España – EE.UU. and its counterpart, the United States Spain Council, will host the 15th edition of the annual Forum in the city of Washington DC on July 23 to 25.
This is the first Forum to be held under the co-chairs of Juan Rodriguez Inciarte, on the Spanish side, and Senator Robert Menendez, on the US side, which will star the opening session of the Forum along with the Ambassadors of both countries, Alan Solomont Jorge Dezcallar de Mazarredo.
The working sessions will take place in the Newseum focusing on "Financial market reforms and economic recovery", "Trade and innovation" and "The Hispanic community in the U.S.: an emerging cultural and economic force".
Confirmed participants in this important event are Second Vice-President and Minister of Economy and Finance Elena Salgado, Minister of Industry, Tourism and Trade, Miguel Sebastian, US Secretary of Treasury Timothy Geithner, US Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke, and the US Secretary of Interior Ken Salazar, among others.
