This visitors program, created by the Fundación in 2000, successfully celebrated its tenth edition during April 18 to 24 in Madrid and Barcelona.
Through this program, almost a hundred young leaders from the US, with outstanding careers in both the private and public sectors, have had the chance to know first hand different aspects of the Spanish reality during an intense week that includes contacts with representatives of political, business and cultural fields.
The ultimate goal of these visits is to ensure that, once back in the U.S., these young leaders stay in touch with their Spanish counterparts, to generate a network of common interests between both countries.
Participants in this year's Program had meetings with, among others, representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, the US Embassy in Madrid, the Congress of Deputies, companies like Abertis, Indra, BBVA, La CAixa, Freixenet, El Pais newspaper, the Royal Institute Elcano, the Cidob Foundation and the Port Authority of Barcelona.
