II Series of Digital Meetings Great Powers: the United States

The Institute of International Affairs and Foreign Policy (INCIPE) and the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU. organize the II Series of Digital Meetings Great Powers: the United States, that will be opened on Tuesday, January 12 with the conference “The Biden Effect: Opportunities and Challenges for Multilateralism” given by former Minister of Foreign Affairs, former NATO Secretary General and Honorary Member of the Board of the Fundación, Javier Solana. This collaboration, the first one between both institutions, gives continuity to the initiative launched by INCIPE focused on the major world powers, which started on September 24, 2020 with an initial monographic series about China.

In total, the cycle has scheduled 8 conferences to be held throughout the first quarter of 2021, given by leading representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties and other experts in the field of international relations, who will address, among other issues, the future of the dollar, both parties’ stands in domestic affairs and foreign policy, the US military and strategic potential and the future of the United States’ relationship with the Latin American countries.

Talks will be broadcasted openly and live on YouTube, and the conversation around them can be followed on social networks through the hashtag #GrandesPotenciasEEUU.
