Meeting of Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation and the Council Foundations

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Trinidad Jiménez, held a working lunch at the Palacio de Viana with the presidents of the seven Council Foundations that Spain has set up with various countries (Australia, China, United States, India, Japan, Mexico and Russia).

During the lunch, the Minister reviewed the activities that have been carrying out by the different Council Foundations in order to define a common strategy to strengthen Economic Diplomacy.

The meeting was attended by Juan Rodríguez Inciarte y Emilio Lamo de Espinosa, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Council Foundation Spain- United States; Juan Lladó, Chairman of the Council Foundation Spain -China and Pedro Solbes, Chairman of the Forum Spain -China; Antonio Escámez Torres, Chairman of the Council Foundation Spain-India; Álvaro Gil-Robles, Chairman of the Council Foundation Spain-Rusia; Josep Piqué i Camps, Chairman of the Council Foundation España-Japón; José Pedro Pérez Llorca, Chairman of the Council Foundation Spain- México and Antonio Garrigues Walker and Manuel Galatas, Chairman and Vice-Chairman de la Council Foundation Spain-Australia, amongst others.

Trinidad Jimenez has shown her firm commitment to enhance the economic diplomacy in order to encourage Spanish exports and investment in those key sectors for such as infrastructures, transports, telecommunications, civil engineering, fashion, sports, among others.
