Robert Royal: Spanish Photographs 1967-2014

From September, 19 to November, 7 the exhibition "Robert Royal: Spanish Photographs 1967-2014. Memories of moments and characters by a graphic correspondent in Spain” will be displayed at the Modern Languages Institute of the University of Extremadura in Cáceres. Curated by Professors Francisco Rodriguez Jiménez and Antonio Pantoja, the exhibit suggests a tour throughout the Spanish Transition to democracy from a selection of more than 50 photographs by the American photojournalist settled in Spain Robert Royal (Alabama, 1940). Furthermore, the exhibit includes some unreleased snapshots about Extremadura.

A large number of people assisted the opening reception, which took place on the evening of Wednesday, 18 and was attended by Robert Royal himself, the Dean of the University of Extremadura, Antonio Hidalgo, and the Secretary General of the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU., Manuel Mª Lejarreta.

This exhibition is part of the Activities Program of the Secretary of Cultural Services of the University of Extremadura and has the support of the Vice Rectorate of University Extension and the Fundación Consejo España - EE.UU.
