Working breakfast with Ivy Taylor


The Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU. organized a working breakfast for its members and Ivy Taylor, Mayor of San Antonio (Texas), accompanied by a delegation of 23 representatives of the Council, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber Commerce and the Tricentennial Commission.

This meeting, conducted by the Chairman of the Fundación, José Manuel Entrecanales, took place at Embajadores Room at Casa de América (Madrid) on May 24th. Director General of Casa de América, Santiago Miralles welcomed the attendees. Chairman of the Fundación, Mr. Entrecanales opened the breakfast with his remarks on the bilateral relation between Spain and San Antonio y Texas, as well as introduced the Fundación to the Mayor and the members of the delegation.

He passed the floor to the Mayor Ivy Taylor, who explained the audience the bonds between Spain and San Antonio and Texas, the preparations for the commemoration of the 300th anniversary of the foundation of the city by a Spanish expedition led by Martín de Alarcón and the business opportunities in the city.

Finally, the floor was opened for comments and questions from the attendees, who could share their point of views on the mentioned matters, among others.
