V Bernardo de Gálvez Award: Bob Menéndez

Senator Robert “Bob” Menéndez received from His Majesty the King Juan Carlos the fifth Bernardo de Gálvez Award on March 2nd, 2015, at the residence of the Spanish Embassy to the US in Washington D.C. The Fundación Consejo España – Estados Unidos presented this Award to Senator Menéndez for his dedication to promote and foster the relationships between Spain and the United States of America throughout his political career as New Jersey Senator, as former Chairman of the US-Spain Council and, lately, as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.
Juan Rodríguez Inciarte, who was Chairman of the Fundación Consejo España – Estados Unidos at the same time that Bob Menéndez held the position of Chairman of the US-Spain Council, delivered a speech during the ceremony. Among the numerous attendants were the Spanish Ambassador to the US, Ramón Gil-Casares, the current Chairman of the Fundación Consejo España-EE.UU., Juan María Nin, and the Secretary General, Fidel Sendagorta.
