CHCI Hispanic Heritage Month Events

The Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU. attended the Hispanic Heritage Month (HHM) events organized by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) on its 36th anniversary which took place on September 30 – October2, 2013. The CHCI, an independent not-for-profit organization, is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in the Hispanic Community in the United States. Its main objective is to aid the development of the future generation of Latino leaders through university training among the Latino community and the development of their leadership skills for the purpose of creating a large network of contacts among Latino leaders.

The HHM events are a celebration of prime importance for the Hispanic community in the United States, bringing together thousands of national leaders or Hispanic origins, members of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, company executives, social leaders, university chancellors and leaders of the educational community, opinion leaders and social media executives, to debate and come to agreements concerning topics of major interest to the Latino community, as well as celebrating and giving out awards for the accomplishments achieved by Latinos of renowned prestige during 2012.
