US-Spain Council

The US Spain Council was created in the United States as a counterpart organization to the Fundacion Consejo Espana- Estados Unidos: an Association Protocol between both organizations was signed on April 29, 1997 at the University of Georgetown. This Protocol binds both institutions to operate as one in order to succesfully achieve shared objectives.

The United States-Spain Council, a non-partisan organisation according to section 501(c)(3) of the US Internal Revenue Service, is a forum in which Spanish and U.S corporate leaders, government officials, and leaders in the educational and cultural fields seek to promote better relations between the two countries, stimulate international trade and investment and spread more knowledge to enhance their mutual images.
