Hispanic Leaders 2008

La Fundación Consejo España- EE.UU., organised a lunch for the participants of the III Hispanic Leaders Convention on July 6th , 2008.

To celebrate he tenth anniversary of the creation "Young Hispanic Leaders Program, created by the Fundación Carolina, the III convention of Hispanic Leaders was held in Madrid on June 5th to 8th , 2008.

The purpose of this III Convention was to bring closer the reality of the U.S. Hispanic community to the Spanish society, administration and media.

During the first two days of the Convention, the nearly 60 participants from the United States met with leading political and institutional representatives, HRH the Prince of Asturias , the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, D. Miguel Angel Moratinos, the Secretary of State for Latin America , Mr. Enrique Iglesias, and the U.S. Ambassador in Madrid, Eduardo Aguirre , among others.
The working sessions: The Hispanic market: a large and growing opportunity, A common heritage, Education and training a high priority and Ties between Spain and the Hispanic communities took place in Casa de America on June 7th,

This busy schedule ended with great success, on Sunday June 8th, with a visit to the city of Zaragoza, organized by the Autonomous Community of Aragon
