Working breakfast and luncheon with Esther Aguilera and Lincoln Díaz-Balart

On June 17, 2013, the Foundation Board of Trustees members shared a working breakfast with the leaders of the U.S. House of Representatives Hispanic Caucus. On one hand, Lincoln Diaz-Balart, a former Congressman and President of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (Republican); and, on the other, Esther Aguilera, President of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (Democrat). These two Hispanic leaders have a major degree of influence on the U.S. legislative realm.
A working agreement was signed within the framework of this meeting between the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU. and the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos with regard to the “International Law, Politics and Economics Program” that said University is organizing with Georgetown University and the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute.
Additionally, the Fundación Consejo España – EE.UU also held a working lunch that same day which served as a meeting between these two Hispanic leaders and high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
